Vegetarian options are available in the 24-hour restaurant-style dining room, and there is also a bistro for snacks, casual meals and beverages. A secure courtyard lets residents enjoy the sun while socializing with friends or family. There are on-site religious services, scheduled transportation and a party room that residents can use for private celebrations. 

At Brookdale Irvine, the skilled chefs use fresh, locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, and a large menu selection ensures that there's something to appeal to discriminating residents. The restaurant-style dining room is open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m, and residents have the option of having meals delivered to their rooms by staff. There is also an on-site coffee shop for beverages and light snacks. Guests are welcome at all meals and may also spend the night in the guest suite. Residents are welcome to have their furry friends at this facility. We chose this community as part of our top 10 due to its gourmet dining programs.

Its beautiful location on the banks of San Diego Creek is one of the reasons we included Atria Golden Creek on our list. There are walking trails along the creek as well as a big deck overlooking it. Restaurant-style meals are served three times per day with plenty of vegetarian options on the menu, and residents can visit the Anytime Cafe for beverages and snacks no matter what the time of day or night. This community welcomes pets.

Heritage Pointe is a not-for-profit senior facility dedicated to providing high-quality living for all residents while incorporating Jewish traditions and lifestyles into aspects of community life. There is an on-site synagogue, and the dining room serves an excellent selection of gourmet kosher meals, and a private dining room is available for family gatherings and other celebrations. The numerous amenities include an on-site theater, a creative arts studio, a putting green and a heated swimming pool. 

Crestvilla is an Atria Signature Residence set among spectacular natural beauty.  Residents can enjoy views from the 15,000-square-foot rooftop retreat, go exploring and wildlife viewing in nearby Aliso and Wood Canyons Wilderness Park or participate in a group outing to the nearby beach. This facility has studio, one- and two-bedroom units in a variety of floor plans. Most units feature full kitchens, balconies or patios, spacious walk-in closets and washers and dryers. There is an open-air art studio complete with a pottery kiln for residents to get creative, and those who love to garden will have access to raised beds to grow their favorite flowers, herbs and vegetables.

There is an on-site salon and barbershop and a spacious sunroom equipped with computers for resident use.
