What we liked best about this facility is that it's family-owned and uses a personalized approach to care. The overall environment reminded us more of a gracious old home than an assisted living facility. There is a sundeck with a fireplace for reading, crafting or simply sitting and visiting with friends and family.

The comfortable fireside living room at Sycamore Trace made us wish we'd brought along a good book and a warm cup of cocoa. We also liked the outdoor walking trails winding among the beautifully landscaped grounds where residents and their small pets can enjoy the fresh air and outdoor exercise. This facility is situated on a hill with a tranquil view of nearby Watts Bar Lake, making the porch a pleasant place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty.

Southern charm is evident in every aspect of this facility, including the warm, welcoming manner of the staff and the gracious indoor and outdoor ambiance. We really liked the old-school front porch with comfortable rocking chairs for spending sunny afternoons and the picnic area on the back patio for al fresco meals. Certain types of on-site medical care such as podiatry, physical and occupational therapy and short-term respite care. Small pets are welcome here.
